Brain Changes Suggest Autism Starts In The Womb

The appearance of autism seems to occur well before birth. Researchers examined brain tissue from children who died and appeared to have autism, and the tissue showed signs of disorganization of the cortex. Tissue samples from children without autism didn't show this disorganization.
