swelling of knee and legs
I am 2 years post op after Total Knee replacement on both knees. I continue to have knee swelling and lower leg/ankle swelling. What causes this? What should I do to help with the continuing swelling?

@beahappy58: Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect; I like your user name but I'd imagine it's hard to be as happy as you'd like with the issues you're reporting. While temporary, mild swelling is to be expected during the immediate recovery period, the persistent swelling you're reporting - especially extending down to the ankles - is not generally expected at this point in time. Have you seen your orthopedist about this?
There can be many other factors that lead to swelling, or edema, of the lower extremities such as you're describing - all should have a medical professional provide a detailed examination to more acurately assess the underlying cause. While some of the causes on the fact sheet I'm providing here from Mayo may seem alarming, these are just potential scenarios. Howevever, in regard to what you should do to help with the continued swelling it's truly to seek the advice of a medical provider. The first step would be a primary care provider, general practitioner or internist who could then refer you to the specialist they would feel would be most appropriate in your particular situation. https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/leg-swelling/basics/causes/sym-20050910
