Still Waiting

It will be two years in December that my daughter started having health issues and we still do not have a diagnosis. We have been to several specialists and we leave with the same answer, "we do not know what is causing the abnormality in her brain, we are going to refer you to another specialist." It is so frustrating as a mother not being able to help my daughter.

Yes, it must be very frustrating. Some days I would like a magic wand to zing poor health issues away. Thankfully we have people around that care and have expertise. They will keep trying. You keep searching. And searching. And searching. Best hopes for you and your daughter.

Hi, @mamlake16 - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. That sounds very hard to go two years without a diagnosis for your daughter or answers about what is causing the abnormality in her brain.

I'd like to introduce you to @jenniferhunter @lakelifelady @crstyday40 @lawlaw1234 @tazi0 @oceanfun1 for some input on the same answer you are getting from different doctors, "We do not know what is causing the abnormality in her brain, we are going to refer you to another specialist."

Do you have another specialist you've been referred to now for another appointment, @mamlake16, or where is your daughter at doctor appointment -wise?
