New stem cell transplant hold promise for treatment of degenerative disc disease

Stem cell therapy may provide relief to a common problem that affects people's quality of life. Conclusions from a recent pre-animal study showed that stem cell therapy is a potentially effective treatment for degenerative disc disorder, increasing disc height and water content. The next phase of research will be preparing to transition the stem cell therapy into clinical trails for degenerative disc disease.
