Spiriva question

Hi lovely people ,
I have just started on spiriva after being officially diagnosed 3 months ago with copd . I'm 69 and a life long smoker so I'm sure that I've had it for years now . Trying to quit smoking now, failing mostly tho . My question is , I'm on day 8 of the spiriva and I think I'm experiencing side effects . I've started having some stomach discomfort , sore stomach and more coughing with a lot of phlegm . Anyone have any issues with Spiriva ? My doctor didn't give me a stage of my copd .

Yes i will ask for a referral next time I see her. I plan to get all my vaccines soon and steer clear of crowds once flu season gets started . Makes me nervous already ! Had covid last January and I needed a short course of steroids , really scared me and took a few weeks to get back to feeling normal . This is awful. Thanks for all the advice !

Hi, proceeding from the most important fact that we are all different - I used to take spiriva and symbicort and alvesco together, for close to 10 years. My docs switched me to Trixio only last year. So you could ask your doc whether there is something missing from your prescription, or however you wish to diplomatically formulate it the question 🙂

I should add , I forgot about this , my diagnosis came from a visit to a pulminologist for a spirometry test . Is this what you mean by a baseline ? There was no further action or a next appointment scheduled .
