Someone Please Help Me, SEVER, RARE CA-MRSA...

Posted by @genivadiane in Infectious Diseases, Oct 30, 2011

I am suffering from sever, rare, recurrent ca-mrsa. I was first diagnoised with it 2 years ago. I have been hospitalized 20 times with it recurring in different places each time. It is the skin and soft tissue type. I have had 2 major surgeries to remove the infections, one was the size of a softball, the other the size of a football and 22 different incisions to drain them It is resistant to penicillens, bactrim, clindomycin, sulfer antibiotics, everything else my infectious disease doctor has tried so far. It is now resistant to vancomycin as well. What medications are there, if any, can we try to use to treat the infections now. I am so afraid no nothing left. Someone Please Help Me.

Shalom Genivadiane, have you tried Our Lord JESUS Christ? Am sure you will find Help. Give Him a trial; accept Him as your Lord and personal saviour. Allow him to come into your life today. It was for this reason He came, was crucified, died and was resurrected .And is alive today and forever in order to give us life in all ramifications.

Without Jesus Christ, my daughter, and my mom, I could not make it through this.

Amen! I too had the old MRSA, they do need to clean the hospitals, who checks them? If you have a business they will check you every 3 months. With a flash light, I can't imagine them checking the whole hospital to see if it is clean. I remember just before I went out, (surgery) there was a guy across the room cleaning, (operating room) however he had a plaid shirt and jeans on, the rest of us were all dressed out. It's a shame Candice that the "Infectious Diease" building is almost the size of a hospital! Sure hope you are better, its been a little over a year for you. My recommendation to everyone, don't have surgery unless you are about to die from the pain, I would then say, you might want to reconsider.

I'm. Interested to know what ca-mrsa is. I was diagnosed with mrsa about 4 or 5 months ago. I had it on my neck which was drained and I think it may have come back on my shin. I'm interested in your story

CA-MRSA means community associated mrsa, meaning you got the staph infection outside of a hospital setting, you were not in the hospital when you got your infection you were out in the community, public. Then there is HA-MRSA which means hospital associated staph infection, meaning you got the infection while you were in, admitted to the hospital. I hope this helps you. I got a whole lot more to tell you about MRSA if you would like to know more about it.

I'm so sorry. I've had MRSA....a couple of years ago. The doctors quarantined me to my home for several days until the danger had passed. I got MRSA from the hospital. It got pretty bad because the original doctor didn't culture it and just thought it was a boil. It ended up being the size of a large teaspoon and ate into my stomach about a 1/4 inch deep. It was awful! I was allergic to sulfa which is what they first put me on. After that, they gave me other medication which made it take longer to heal. It was rough. However, I can't imagine how badly you are feeling. It is really difficult that you can't seem to get help and medications are not working. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care of yourself! And, keep talking about it!

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you are struggling so much! My thoughts and prayers are with you. My 6 year old daughter has it, too. She's only had it twice so far, but it looks like it's starting to come back again. There's a tremendous amount of information on the internet about natural help for MRSA, have you explored any of those? I work with a Naturopathic Doctor on my daughter's care. Next time she gets it I'm supposed to try natural things like a combo of Allimax, tea tree oil, Vitamin C & D, Oregano oil, Goldenseal, high doses of probiotics, manuka honey, digestive enzymes, and some physician/naturopathic prescribed only botanicals. If you have the means, you might want to consult with a Naturopathic Doctor. Hope this helps! I feel your pain.

Hello, my name is Candice. I was diagnosed with MRSA 6 years ago. My arms broke out with sores and they have never completely healed nor went away. I have been to several doctors, been hospitalized several times to remove boils inside my body, even on my eye lid. I have tried every treatment, remedy, diet, etc., everything you could think of. It has completely changed my life. I am not working and have a college degree and taught school for many years. I live in West Texas where the heat is almost unbearable and must wear longsleeves year round to cover my arms for several reasons. Im constantly getting ill with fever and ups and downs. Now it has spread to top of my hands, and my legs. is there anyone who has gradually gotten foliculitis or psoriasis? Iam so frustrated, insecure, isolated and hopeless feeling. Its ruined so many areas of my life.
