Slow taper off Clonazepam

I’m not sure if this is the right forum/group but I am needing and seeking hope and help to taper off 9 years of clonazepam.

There have been several discussions about this over the past 2-3 years. The general consensus has been that a taper off any benzo requires a doctors supervision and a slow reduction over many months to minimize discomfort. I took almost a year to be totally off clonazepam. It was very hard but two years out, I’m better for it.

Yes I’m trying to find a doctor that can do this. Initially they wanted me to do so in one month. I had no idea the serious effects and ended up in ER twice with serious WD and tachycardia. I am a Mayo patient but resident in Texas and having a very hard time finding a doctor that understands you can’t rapid taper after 9 years. I’m already in a tapper but holding due to no appropriate care. I am waiting on an upcoming appointment with psychiatry with if Mayo Clinic. Praying. They can help me taper correctly.
