Side effects of thoracic aneurysm

My doctor recommended a procedure for repairing a saccular aneurysm by inserting a reinforcing device about 1” long? He mentioned a possible side effect of paralysis. What’s the statistical probability of paralysis occurring? I am an 84-year-old male.
