Side effect of dapagliflozin
i have CHF , stage 1, due to a leaking Tricuspis valve. It has been recommended that i take Dapagliflozin. Has anyone in this group had experience with this drug. I really hate to add another drug to my daily routine. And, it seems to possibly mess with blood sugar. Thanks ,

Dapagliflozin is the generic for Farxiga. I take it. For me, the side effects are all positive, although some people have problems with anxiety or yeast infections. There is a current discussion in the Endocrine group. I am 80 and have CHF, and type 2 diabetes. Dapagliflozin has a protective effect on the kidneys. Using a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) I've watched it help with insulin resistance. If I were you, I'd give it a try.

1 ReactionI take Farxiga - recommended by both my nephrologist and my cardiologist. I do not have diabetes, so I was hesitant to take it. As redhen said, it is protective of the kidneys and helps the heart. I have had no side effects and would encourage you to listen to your doctor’s recommendations.
I was recently prescribed Dapagliflozin. I have PVCs; am scheduled for an ablation at the end of the month. I haven't noticed any side effects and I am on several drugs.
