Should my AHI keep increasing using a BIPAP?

I was switched from a CPAP to a BIPAP machine and my events per hour seem to be increasing. Shouldn't they be going down?

Welcome @davidlhine, There could be a number of different reasons the AHI has increased after you switched from a CPAP to a BIPAP machine. How high has your AHI increased? Have you discussed it with your sleep doctor or care team?

I was consistently between 15 & 20 events per hour prior to June 11 on CPAP. After June 11, on the BIPAP, I was 20-32 end of June, 15-28 in July, 18-41 in August. Probably averaging mid to high 20's. Yes, the doctor is considering switching to an ASV machine.

I am having so much trouble getting use to my bipap machine I was given it Friday and I have barely slept since! I was on cpap for almost three years previously. Did you get used it right off?

@davidlhine What is ASV a machine? I used my BIPAP for 5 hours last night finally and it said I had 15 events too! That is why they changed me from cpap to bipap and it is still about like the cpap!
It was my fourth night on bipap.
