Shockwave therapy, or Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT),
Has anyone tried this therapy for peripheral neuropathy?
Or has additional information on the subject?

I tried this and it helped a great deal. I had six treatments, and the improvement was most dramatic after the first, then stopped increasing after treatment five - tried one more, then stopped. It’s not a miracle cure but a big improvement - perhaps a total of 50% lessening of burning pain in my feet overall. It’s just one piece of the whole puzzle for me, along with the right supplements, avoiding sugar (a huge inflammatory), exercising as much as I can and continuing to research options. I can’t take standard pain meds such as gabapentin, pregabalin, Lyrica, etc. Not even ibupropen. I recently started low-dose Naltrexone, which is a BIG help for me, as it tamps the pain down enough at night for me to sleep well, and has (for me) zero side effects. With the shock therapy, be sure to get focused — not radial — shock wave. And monitor your own response. Some places want to just keep selling, selling, selling, past the point where this treatment stops being effective. When I told my practitioner I was going to discontinue, she tried to push me to stem cell therapy, which is crazy expensive and has virtually no studies showing any positive effect. Good luck!
