Anyone had more than 4 rounds of PRRT? I will have rounds 5 & 6

Posted by sophiarose @sophiarose, Aug 31 10:49pm

Has anyone done treatment 5 & 6 of PRRT
I would like to know what to expect?
I was stable for 18 months after treatment 1-4
I just did liver Bland Embolization on my right side and on 9/16 I will do my left side
This was done to help relieve the pain I have been experiencing
Now repeat PRRT
Any information would greatly be appreciated
Thank you

Also had 4 rounds PRRT but less time stable unfortunately. Had distal pancreatectomy last year. Before that they did bland embolization on one side, but never did the other. My doctor is getting me an interview for more PRRT and we’ll see what they say.

I did have 6 infusions as original treatment and didn't have trouble with them. Fatigue for a few days, but not too bad. Best Wishes!

Has anyone had 4 rounds of PRRT and after it stopped working did 2 more rounds. Any feedback back regarding
- Results?
- Side effects?
- Complications?

I will start round 5 in November and 6 in JanuaryI did really well with 1-4 but it only kept me stable for about 18 months
Any information will be greatly appreciated
Thank you

@sophiarose, I'm just catching up with your timeline. If I read correctly, you had the typical 4 rounds of PRRT and tolerated treatment well. PRRT helped to keep you stable for 18 months. But now you are no longer stable and your oncologist has suggested 2 more treatments with PRRT.

Do I have that right?

@sophiarose , I just did a 4 round retreatment of prrt starting in aug 2026 finishing in Feb 2026. It did shrink stuff a little bit but kept everything in check until Sept 2026. I'm not sure if 4 retreatment was better than 2. I was hoping for a longer effect but maybe you'll be different. What I do know is that the pnet/liver Mets became more angry on my latest scan. No side effects from the retreatment. I'll find out in a another year regarding the aml risk of prrt.

Mayo had Dr Starr as a guess speaker on Thursday night he was very good answered a lot of questions
He did tell me that he has done atleast 75 PRRT repeats which will be me I will be doing round 5&6 I won’t get as much stable time as I did from rounds 1-4 maybe half but it’s something
Hopefully 2027 will be good to all of us
Thank you
Best wishes
