Posted by @ees1, Sun, Oct 28 8:35pm

I have a meningioma, cavernoma, leukocytoclastic Vasculitis, tinnitus, breast cyst, and osteoarthritis. I know… i just listed everything in the world. All diagnosed in last 16 months. Considering going to Mayo in Jacksonville for a second opinion on latest MRI and how the other illnesses relate. Want to make sure a dr looks at the total picture so i can do the right thing. I understand that Mayo excels at seeing the total person. How would I make this type of appointment? Would I see a neurosurgeon and go from there? Thanks!!!

Hello @ees1, I would recommend going through the requesting an appointment process. The schedulers on the phone really are the best people for walking you through the process and are equipped with the knowledge to answer your questions. If you are able, you could have your current physician refer you as well. Here is some information that you may useful to help seek your answer:

– Requesting an appointment, mayocl.in/1mtmR63
– Physician referral information, https://www.mayoclinic.org/medical-professionals

@ees1, have you discussed wanting to seek another opinion with your current provider or the potential of a referral?

Insurance encourages second opinions. Thanks for the info! I’ll read up on it.
