Restless leg syndrome

please anyone who has this syndrome email me. I would like to know more about this syndrome from real people

I had taken Mirapex for over 10 years and the prescription medication worked wonders for over 10 years..now..all of a sudden..it has lost its effectiveness completely and I am going through a extreme amount of misery . Primary doctor has tried numerous other med’s with out ANY success and my life has become extremely miserable..can’t sleep..sit or lie down for more than 3-4 minutes. Very tired..What I wouldn’t give for a good nights sleep…I feel..I am asking for appointment at Mayo to get help SOON !!

Several things have worked for me. I fold a heavy quilt into fourths and place it on my legs. The weight on my legs seems to help. Also, lie on your stomach for awhile. It seems to calm the legs down.

My grandfather suffered from restless leg syndrome. I recalled a book that I had read years ago, that mentioned a significant improvement, when the author “rocked” in his rocking chair for a little while before going to bed. My grandfather was skeptical, but he tried it and said it really helped! It’s not a cure, but it helped enough that it became a nightly ritual.
