Response to Appointment Request
We requested an appointment for my brother twice online. Each time we have never received any response at all. Does the Mayo Clinic respond when they are not going to give you an appointment? Or is no response at all need to be assumed as a "no". I assume our request was received each time and I just thought I would get some type of response, even if they are not going to give us an appointment.
Thank you!

Welcome @dpm122, Normally Mayo Clinic will respond to an appointment request within 48 to 72 hours during business days (Monday through Friday). If it's been longer than that, I encourage you to call the Office of Patient Experience. Here is the toll free phone number:
Phone: 844-544-0036 (toll free)
How long has it been since you requested the appointment?
We tried once about 5 weeks ago and then ago about 2 weeks ago. I might try and call next time instead of online form
Hi @dpm122, I want to confirm that you should receive a response to the online submission within 3 business days to set up a phone appointment to review your request with a coordinator. I agree that you should follow-up by calling the campus to which you applied. All the relevant phone numbers can be found on this page: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
May I ask which campus you're applying to?
I hope you received an answer to your request for an appointment.
This maybe obvious, but make sure you check you SPAM email folder. Sometimes legit email end up in SPAM folder due to how your email filters work.

My brother and I faxed numerous files from his medical record and we received a letter stating that he was not accepted as a patient at the Mayo clinic. He is a doctor and was assaulted by a patient. The patient had struck my brother in the head so badly that he broke at least 5 bones in my brother's face and must have Jarred his brain so badly that's some sort of chain reaction followed. Also he was given a hovid shot shot shortly thereafter which may also have accelerated his his neurological events that has now left him so weak and almost to the point of becoming paralyzed. They're alized. He has lost so much fatty tissue and muscle as well as connective tissue.. I don't understand how the Mayo clinic could reject such an angel from their system.
@amosivilla, first all, I'm very sorry to hear about your brother's experiences and his current state. This must be so hard to witness. Understandably you want to do everything in your power to help your brother.
Over the last couple of years, Mayo Clinic has experienced unusually high demand for appointments, which has exceeded our capacity. But I encourage you not to give up. There may be several reasons that led to the denial at this time. You might try again and a different Mayo location or department. Members share their experiences here:
– Can't get an appointment: Any tips on what to do? https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/cant-get-an-appointment/
Hello,
few weeks ago I have filled form for an appointment at your clinic where I asked for an online appointment. Because I haven't received any respond, I have decided to contact one of e-mails and still no respond so I would like to know where or who I can reach for an online's appointment. Reason why am I trying to get it is because I would like to get second opinion for my disease.
Thank you and kind regards
Ariana
@arianam24, normally after filling out the online form, you will be contacted within 5 business days. You are right to followup.
Ariana, you can call the Mayo Clinic location to which you applied to inquire about the status of your request. You'll find all the numbers on this webpage: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
May I ask which location you applied to?
