Tengo 61 años,cuidé a mi padre 1 año,murió hace 4 meses. Tenía Parkinson.Siento el vacío de su partida, pero tengo una mezcla predominante de agotamiento, trastornos del sueño,falta de energía para continuar con mi vida normal. ¿Se han sentido así?

Hi,

I always the see death of someone as not the passing of a life but as a celebration of a life, how he/she had spent it and for you the happy moments and lessons your dad made you remember/learnt. Since you needed to take care of him, with you not being young, he might actually feel glad it’s time for him to go. Everybody has to leave this world, that’s something we need to keep reminding ourselves. Even for us, we will leave this world too. As we age, it’s inevitable we will encounter medical conditions. Some may even be worse off. You can have your normal life, some can’t even do that even if they can all the energy in the world to do so.

Don’t be despaired. That’s life. We have to accept health deteriorating and the inevitable will happen to everyone. It’s just a matter of how.

Cheers,
Louis

I'm 61 years old, and taked care of my dad for 1 year. He died 4 months ago, Primary disease: I feel the void left by his passing, but what predominates is a mix of exhaustion, sleep disturbances, and a lack of energy to go on with my normal life. Have you felt this way?
