Prolia treatment for osteoporosis
I received the results from my bone test and they have recommended I start Prolia. I have read the side effects and I am concerned. Has anyone use this drug and if so what side effects have you experienced. Thank you

My doctors are recommending Prolia due to my severe osteoporosis. I have recently had a compression fracture, so treatment is very necessary. I'm also on Raloxifene as a breast cancer preventative and am wondering if Prolia and Raloxifene can be taken together. Do you happen to know? So glad you did not have any side effects.
Sorry, I do not know the answer to this question.
Harborside24 Hi lioness here You can go to drugs.com look for interactions
which is better option to treat osteoporosis Prolia (denosumab) or Reclast like aclasta injection(zoledronic acid) for post menopausal women of 77 years old?
which is better option to treat osteoporosis Prolia 60 mg (denosumab) or Reclast like aclasta injection(zoledronic acid) for post menopausal women of 77 years old? She has already taken Bonmax Pth injection for 2 years.
what is the information that you get from Prolia 60mg SC injection. Can you please share it to me. It will be very kind of you.
smtamt you may want to contact Prolia staff by telephone to discuss. They would be glad to answer questions and/or provide pamphlets. 1-877-776-1002. It has the potential to rebuild bone. Give a try.
Have you done your BMD Test? Have you seen any marked improvement in bone density esp. in Femur Neck Right and Femur Neck Left of your hips as well as AP Spine?
Does Prolia (60mg) injection make any marked improvement in bone density esp. in Femur Neck Right and Femur Neck Left of your hips as well as AP Spine?
But do you have IMPROVEMENT?? I am willing to deal with side effects to a point IF there is proof that it works.
I had a slight improvement in a hip but didn't have any areas that declined. After I stopped Fosamax, there was a decline in bone density.
I would be careful contacting "Prolia staff"…..AMGN has a lot at stake in this drug, and the staff will IMO dismiss concerns in favor of encouragement to use the product. i am looking for people who can testify as to its efficacy.
I would also like to know the results of AMGN's "risk evaluation and mitigation strategy" as well as the results of the surveillance program to monitor more than 4,500 women already taking the drug back in 2010 .
The most common side effects with Prolia (seen in more than one patient in ten) are musculoskeletal
common side effects found to be common were:
Urinary tract infection
Upper respiratory tract infection
Sciatica
Cataracts
constipation
rashes
Eczema
AND VERY COMMON
Pain in extremity
Musculoskeletal pain
pain in the extremity.
Musculoskeletal pain, including severe cases, has been reported in patients receiving Prolia in the
post-marketing setting. In clinical trials, musculoskeletal pain was very common in both denosumab
and placebo groups.
I cannot post the link but you can find it on your own. AMGN has a market cap of $129.131B. They need to pump that pipeline.
do your own due diligence folks.
