Problem with UTI

I have had burning sensation while urination and i had a incident when my penis erected i felt a painful itching inside my urethra.. What can be the cause. I inly have sex with my wife.

Have you been to see your doctor and been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection? How long has this been going on?
