Private room??

Posted by @bigl, May 27, 2013

We’re planning for a pending valve replacement surgery. We REALLY need a private room. The privacy and quiet are just so important to us.

How does the room assignment work? Can we expect to get a private room at St. Mary’s? It’s going to be a big deal for us if we show up for admission and there is no private room available.

Are the suites an option for a heart surgery patient? I know it’s more expensive and insurance won’t cover it, but it’s that important to us.

Any feedback you can provide is appreciated.

I would recommend calling ahead and asking. It may depend on availability! I’m sure they would be happy to talk to you! I think the appointment desks should be able to direct you if you don’t have a number to your area or physician: http://www.mayoclinic.org/patientinfo/appointments.html
