Prednisone timine

I started a course of prednisone this afternoon. I know it's best taken in the morning. So, is it safe/OK to take the next batch tomorrow morning?

I think it would be fine to change your dose of prednisone from the afternoon to morning. It would probably be best to call your pharmacy and ask your Pharmacist.

It should be. But you should call the pharmacist since none of us know anything about your dose or what your treating. They recommend mornings since it can effect your circadian rhythm. Your first day taking it might be a little different since you started in the afternoon and took it again in the morning. Prednisone can wear off within 12 hours. But the idea is you need less cortisol at night.

I had a combination of bronchitis and a flare up. Had a course of antibiotics and or prednisone prescribed. The latter is three 20 mg (I think) for three days, two for three, and one for three. It seems to have helped already. The doc also suggested nebulizing albuterol four times a day. It didn't help much the first day, which is why she said to take the other drugs, too. Am also taking treligy, and have for about two years. This is the first time I 've had a flare-up since. I hope it's just the bizarre weather.
