Post Gallbladder removal abdominal pain

Posted by @landfins in Just Want to Talk, Sep 22, 2012

Hi there. I had my gallbladder removed over a year ago (March 2011) and have been experiencing severe pain lately in the same area which extends to my right shoulder. It is a burning sensation that never goes away. It lightens up occasionally - but never goes away. visited my PCP and he recommended an MRCP (without dye) which showed no gallstones in any of my ducts. I've been reading that the pain could be associated with bile (or sludge) leaking into my abdomen - as a result of the surgery. First of all - if this is the case is there a way to fix the leak? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next. The pain keeps me up at night and is making me nauseous.
