Plasma therapy
Hi,
I’m 74, just I had steroid injection on my shoulder and the doctor told me that my shoulder is in a not good shape and suggested next step to be plasma injection.
Have you tried it ?

You should read this as part of your decision making process. If you don’t receive sufficient feedback from Mayo Forum ask your doctor if he has any patients that might be willing to talk about the experience. The key point for me is that it’s not covered by FDA as it didn’t pass phase III clinical trials. But I understand it has benefitted some people.
If you haven’t tried physical therapy I would do that first. If you haven’t tried but it was unsuccessful give Myofascial release therapy a shot. It’s cheaper than the injections and has been very beneficial for my spinal OA. Good luck.
