Pes planus and osteoarthritis

Posted by malhar17 @malhar17, Jan 12, 2018

Looking for information to link pes planus to osteoarthritis, 25 years ago i was told i had pes planus while in the military then got released without the proper insoles. Now 25 years later i am getting the help with that, but also came to find out i have osteoarthritis in my feet, ankles knees and lower back and from what i can find out so far is that osteoarthritis is caused by wear and tear of the joints, and that if one joint is out of place it puts the others out

Hello @malhar17, Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.

Here is some information that Mayo has listed on Planus. Read the therapy section. There seems to be good information listed. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/flatfeet/symptoms-causes/syc-20372604. Have you had scans done?

Have you confirmed any daily exercise or anything in your daily routine that makes your symptoms less painful?
