Parkinson's and Lewy Body

Posted by @jdwtkhin in Brain & Nervous System, Nov 3, 2012

My husband was diagnosed Parkinson's Disease (PD) 2001 but had sympoms at least five years before he went to Dr. He is still in denial in spite of needed LevaDopa 12 times a day. I've been researching and saw Lewy Body Disease which is related/similar to PD - but with more behavioral aspects - including judgement/problem solving, attention etc. I believe he has Lewy Body. Is there a benefit to having him "diagnosed"? What have other caretakers experienced with Lewy Body - What are the long term ramifications for safety? Thank you for any help, support and perspective.
