Ostomy redness and itching

I washed the areas with Ivory Soap as suggested, found that there was a lot of adhesive buildup which I tried to remove with Adhesive remover. I think it will take a few more times to get it all gone. Also sprayed with the barrier spray which was also suggested. Happiness...my husband said he hardly knew the pouch was on. He is a fair haired Irishman so when I even look like I'm going to remove the pouch he says OUCH. Once when we get this solved, he may try to do this himself. The itchiness is also on his back so I treated it with Calamine lotion. Thanks for all your help.
