I have the shakes n tremers those happen all day . Massive headache to migraine . Not able to work because of the pain I'm in . Not able to sleep well . Lucky to get 5 hrs of sleep a day . With all this my depression has been bad . My mood changes on the hr . I go from the class clown goofing off to don't you dare look at me angry person. .. not sure what to do anymore my family has been keeping there distance from me .

Welcome, Mike @mike36 . Except for manic episodes, we sound a lot alike. I have sleep apnea, but my BIPAP machine makes it possible to sleep well. I've been struggling with major depression for a long time, and the psychiatrist diagnosed me with depressive bipolar disorder, which means that my highs aren't very high. My baseline is lower than most.

Are you taking Lithium or something for bipolar? Are you talking with a therapist or doctor? I've learned the importance of a support system, whether it's a doctor, good friend, minister or counselor. I've been seeing therapists for 12+ years, and they've kept me alive when I didn't want to be.

I know about family not understanding. They've never been in our shoes. I suspect that as you work through the things you described, stress levels will ease.

Have you learned any relaxation exercises? They would be helpful to you now.

Jim

Hello @mike36, let me add my welcome to you as you have recently joined Mayo Connect. I'm sorry to hear about your problems with migraines, sleep, depression and mood swings. I would concur with what @jimhd posted that therapy and some help from a physician would be helpful for you right now.

How are you currently treating these problems?

Mike @mike36 Have you asked your doctor to refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist for an evaluation? They would understand what you're experiencing. The sooner the better, is how I feel.
