Ohtuvayre insurance approval

I have Medicare insurance and the Ohtuvayre was denied. My doctor is having difficulty getting Ohtuvayre approved. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was diagnosed 25 years ago. I have emphysema. I have done Pulunary rehab for years. I was told that will help keep my lungs expanded. . Ohtupere has helped me because now if I walk slow I am not panting like a puppy. I use a walker not because I need it to walk but to carry my portable oxygen and purse. It really affects my breathing carrying stuff. It has not cured but it helps and I will take any help o can get.

Both my Dr. and I had trouble getting approved for Ohtuvayre. Finally came through. I've only used it twice because I can't get the fluid to turn yellow so I stopped using it. I have severe emphysema and decided to just stick with my inhalers and morphine (helps with the breathing). This regimen works as well as any - Ohtuvayre is so expensive that I just don't think it's worth it for me.

@curley3 please during these next month (Open Enrollment) get away from your Advantage plan and stay of course with Medicare but just pick up a secondary like AARP United, just NO advantage programs. It will only cause you heartache in so many ways.

@kndaustin71 Like I said, I am an ex-State retired employee . If I drop out of their plan instead of paying 220 a month it would be over 500 a month that I could not pay.
