Ohtuvayre insurance approval

Posted by kittyphd @kittyphd, Oct 26 11:10am

I have Medicare insurance and the Ohtuvayre was denied. My doctor is having difficulty getting Ohtuvayre approved. Has anyone else had this problem?

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the COPD: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Support Group.

Have you contacted Parhway Plus on the Ohtuvayre website? They are very helpful and will go through the steps once you complete the forms. It should be covered under Medicare Part B.

I am on Medicare Advantage, and they will ok it but I have to pay a 500.00 dollar copay. So there is a program that you can go through they will pay for it, I think it is based on your income and age.

@curley3 I am on it and I pay nothing. . I pay a lot for my insurance but it is worth it. No co pays and since I have several health conditions I would not do those Advantages policy.

@linda86 I am a retired state of Oklahoma employee so i don't have much choice, If I dropped out of it I would have to pay a lot more for the insurance which I could not afford.

@curley3 please during these next month (Open Enrollment) get away from your Advantage plan and stay of course with Medicare but just pick up a secondary like AARP United, just NO advantage programs. It will only cause you heartache in so many ways.

I have Federal Blue Cross/Blue shield and Medicare A,B and D. My husband work for 32 for the Dept of agriculture so I have his insurance since I am a widow. Sometimes I think I am insurance poor but so far they have paid good. With health conditions you need good insurance. There was no way I could get that insurance for nursing homes because I got turned down twice. My doctor they only to insure healthy people. Good luck on getting your meds. They are so expensive.
