Nervous system issues for 5 years

Posted by cheymama31 @cheymama31, Sep 12 6:15pm

Does anyone know if you caused skin issues by using a 40% urea cream a month ago on your hands and feet 2 times and it caused your skin to react, can it also intensify all my other nerve symptoms like redness, swelling in my hands and feet, head and ear pressure, tingling, muscle aches. Ai has been giving me conflicting info and I'm so lost.

Hi @cheymama31. Hope this helpful from my 5 yrs of ever changing symptoms experience. Seems our bodies more sensitive and highly reactive at varying degrees with our individual medical histories. Finding the right cream and keeping up with consistent routine of applying it may be challenging and not the only answer?. My trauma provider has helped with mindset literally minute by minute to day by day react to what body needs in the moment for topical to radiate through body issue ie breath work, ice to help intense flare? Cool cloth or Curel for itch, heat pad for painful “weird” feeling areas, to rest and/or look at foods when different rash/ congestion/feeling begins… Basically try to address at first sign to calm nervous system to hopefully shorten and prevent possible reactions🤞. Quickest healing journey to you!🌈

Urea cream is usually used to soften and remove rough skin or to break down hardened tissue like on your toes or feet. It can cause several layers of skin to slough off if left on very long. If you already had high levels of urea in your blood, it could have caused elevated systemic urea levels which can cause nerve pain. Might want to have the doc check your urea levels as this is a recognized biomarker for long Covid.

@vostie I didn't know we have urea cream levels? I don't go too doctors anymore they have no answers for me or anyone that know of. My nervous system is a mess and I won't take their drugs. So youre saying it is possible and once my skin heals maybe my symptoms will calm down? I can only hope because I don't know what else to do. I'm barely using any kind of soap anymore, no lotions, just vaseline.

@law59 What symptoms do you have and how long? I'm only using vaseline right now and barely any soap in hopes that my skin on my hands and feet can heal and I can try to get back to a little normal, I was also using ivory soap and ai told me that was really bad for my skin? I dont know what or who to believe. I'm so tired.

@cheymama31 Every human body has levels of urea which is usually filtered by our kidneys. Your doc has probably done a urea nitrogen blood test on you called a BUN. When urea is high, it can note kidney dysfunction, dehydration, too much protein in your diet, etc. A high BUN or plasma urea level is one of the biomarkers for long covid.

Hi @cheymama31. I basically have head to toe ever changing symptoms since 2021 and so relate to the exhaustion of finding answers that in many cases it seems time is just needed. My easiest thought is baby products and Curel anti itch defense to soothe skin keeping in mind what your providers advised you about your immune response. Minute by minute caring for ourselves with ice packs, heat pads, food/activity diary to determine what triggers us and hardest part ability to avoid them with brain fog or life’s requirements , and necessary pacing so dont use all energy and prevent crash or symptom flare….🙃 Youre in great company here and hopeful using search tool for helpful key words and if I may further suggest ask your healthcare system for a patient advocate/clinical social worker to qualify and obtain for you these very helpful services of trauma provider to learn breathwork and calming nervous system techniques specific to your needs, enhanced care manager to help assure medical services rendered and receive detailed medical notes to review for voice recognition/AI generated misinformation and correct, Physical Therapist who has actually experienced long/long haul/post… covid🙃 , and in home support services with respite referrals. Know that it is a lot to even make a call yet the benefit of those providers help allows you the actual rest and techniques for your healing🤞 Quickest healung to you🌈

Oh @cheymama31. I am so sorry I did not mean to further overwhelm. Quite the opposite as I gave up and then found my healthcare system advocate that Im hopeful for you too can arrange your “Guided Care” or maybe “Special Needs” dept. for the first of my suggested resources which they then arrange further suggested and/or available 🤞. Not trying to simplify at all as again yesterday experienced overwhelm with my adult disabled sons healthcare system yet today Im back on the horse so hopeful Im sharing this in helpful way intended for you and anyone seeing post to maneuver each day to see light at the end of the tunnel despite challenges, like my taking hour and half to think of and see the words with voice rec system needing edit….to answer this, that others cannot see🙃 Only the best to you !🌈
