Mother diagnosed 3 yrs ago w/ Parkinson’s dementia, has no tremorss
After diagnosis 3 yrs ago my mother still does not think she has any defecits, she has been on Carbidopa/Levidopa and donecepil (not sure of spelling).
She has no tremors but has recently and suddenly forgotten who my father is and most of the family except for myself . She has had a couple of very combative and confused weeks and as suddenly as this happened she was pretty much back to normal. Some days trouble finding her words but I help her and she’s ok .
Most days very happy then she’ll have another slight dip for a day or two and then back to normal. She is 81.
Having a little trouble with getting to the bathroom on her own in the middle of the night and my dad helps her.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Hello @julski and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I understand the concerns you have regarding your mother's cognitive functioning. It must be difficult for you to be aware of her problems when she is not. Have you talked with her doctor about these occurrences of confusion, difficulty talking, etc.? If not, this would be a good first step.
I would like to invite others to this conversation, including @sillyblone, who has had many family members with PD.
