my husband has some autoimmune diagnosis and now the doctors say he doesn't

my husband was diagnosed in 2007 with vasculitis, hemolytic anemia, and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. went through chemo to get in remission and it worked but now has reappeared and the doctors think that he doesn’t have any of these but some labs have come back positive. we just keep going to doctors with no answers and getting very frustated. we do we turn for definate diagnosis. getting very tired and wore down by all of this.

Has your husband had his Vitamin D levels checked? Vitamin D Deficiency has been scientifically linked to various autoimmune disorders, albeit from what I’ve read all have been primarily associated with women. That said, I cannot say that the same is not true of men. I honestly don’t know one way of the other.

What I do know is that new studies are being released all the time showing associations between insufficient vitamin D and a wide variety of diseases covering all ages, races and stages of life. It’s worth looking in to.

You can read more about the blood test to measure 25(OH)D (vitamin D3) here: http://www.pamelaegan.com/articles/vitamin-d3-2/
