My 64 year old husband's PET shows that he has two small spots on the tops of his lungs that are cancer. The biopsy was inconclusive. However, 1 year ago he had surgery and radiation for a squamous cell cancer removed from his salvia gland. At the time we were told that it was not the origin. I now believe the lung cancer is the orgin but with the biopsy not confirming the type of cancer, where do we go now? They are referring us to a local oncologist, considering going to Mayo on own. Thoughts... .
