Muscle Spasms around belly area

Can anyone explain why the muscles the stomach and liver area move up and down?

strong or painful muscular movement could signify something (like hiatal hernia, gallstones or intestinal obstruction) that would need treatment. Normal peristalsis is a rhythmic contraction of the intestinal wall moving food through the digestive tract.
If it is painful or if you are having changes in bowel habits, you might (should) see your GP or gastroenterologist.
I'd be likely to see a doctor even without pain or changes, if it were a new sensation.

I saw the GP but she didn’t specify anything. The muscle spasms get stronger.

@nazleer I would ask for a referral to a gastroenterologist. Insist on a second medical opinion, anyway.

@rashida
I have similar symptoms with autoimmune condition Systemic sclerosis and mesenteric panniculitis discovered on CT scan. It gets worse in response to walking, movement, acidic foods, some medications and/or supplements. Oral Iron, or Potassium supplements can make it worse. It may be helpful to think of it in terms of what makes it worse.
