As we approach this holiday weekend called Memorial Day, I wanted to take a moment to connect with all of our members who have posted in our Mental Health discussions at one time or the other. Memorial Day weekend is a time when we celebrate the beginning of summer, but more importantly we honor those who have given their life (and perhaps their health) in order to defend our freedom. I want to thank those of you who have served our country. I know that many of you face disabilities and hardships as a result of your service and my heart goes out to you for your courage and the personal battles that you continue to wage on home soil.

At this time, many of us also remember those who have passed from our life through death. If you are in a place of mourning or grief, I would like you to feel free to share your feelings with our community this weekend. We are here for you! Teresa

Yes, this is a special day for those who have served to keep us free as a nation. Thank you for being strong and brave for others. Let’s hope that we remain free of the influence of outside nations that want to take over our nation. We must now be active and all protect our country. For those who are mourning, you have my deepest sympathy. For marking Spring, hooray! Gail B

What wonderful reminder of our Great Men and Women that have given their lives and limbs for our freedom. My sister Jill, went and put a memorial wreath on my Mum and Dads grave in England as a reminder of the sacrifices they both made for us all. They were both in the Air Force in WW11. Too in doing this Jill felt it was also giving them loving thanks for being such wonderful parents. They are in my prayers always.
God Bless you all
