Medication for OA

I have OA in my hips and lower back. My rheumatologist suggested I take Meloxicam or Celecoxib. Has anyone tried either one and if so , any help with the pain? Thanks.

They are both NSAID medications like ibuprofen but require prescriptions. You don’t say whether you have pain or not but I’d be cautious with GI concerns from NSAID meds. I too have OA plus OP and chronic pain syndrome for which I use Buprenorphine patch. I cannot take NSAID meds.
