Medicare and new antidepressants

Posted by tburkart @tburkart, Jun 14, 2023

My Dr wants to add on one of the newer antidepressants ( vraylar, rexulti) but I know this will be cost prohibitive and Medicare will throw up road blocks plus being on Medicare disqualifies you from any discount programs. $1100 a month is way too much. Any suggestions?

@tburkart Here are a couple of links you can try:

I am also on Medicare, and receive patient assistance for co-pay on my chemo drug. For me, it is part of a program from the drug's manufacturer.

Please let me know what you find out, okay? Having to worry about how to pay for a medication that might improve your life is not conducive to a good night sleep, is it?!
