Mayo Colorectal Patients: Your Feedback on Clinical Communications

Mayo Clinic's Center for Digital Health is seeking feedback from current patients or prospective patients of Mayo Clinic who have or had colon or rectal cancer. Patients who meet the eligibility requirements (see below) will be asked to take part in a 30–40-minute interview via Zoom. If you meet these criteria, we invite you to complete the survey linked below.

Study Details:

Our research aims to gain valuable insights into the experiences of Mayo Clinic patients or prospective patients who have a diagnosis of colon or rectal cancer; specifically asking questions related to clinical communications received by the patient via text message, email, and over the phone instructions with care teams. Your participation will contribute to a better understanding of the patient experience and create a better future for those like you.

Eligibility:

  • Adult patient or prospective patient at any Mayo Clinic site within the past year or plans to be seen at Mayo Clinic in the next month for colon/rectal cancer
  • Adult patient or prospective patient of Mayo Clinic who has received clinical communications from Mayo Clinic via text, email, or over the phone regarding appointments or surgery (e.g., appointment reminders, pre-surgical instructions, pre-check in reminders, etc.)
  • Need access to a stable internet connection via computer, smartphone, or tablet to take part in a virtual Zoom call with Mayo Clinic researchers
  • Willing to take part in a 30–40-minute interview via Zoom with Mayo Clinic researchers to better understand your experience

Survey Content:

The screener survey will inquire about your experience with a focus on clinical communications and communication you may have received before, during, and after care at Mayo Clinic. Your responses will remain confidential amongst the project team. Your participation is voluntary.
