Massive OPLL

Posted by wezzie67 @wezzie67, Feb 14 1:54am

I have OPLL through my entire spine. I have had 13 back surgeries due to this rare spinal disease. I also have two shunts, one in my thoracic spine and one in my brain for the syrnix. My Neurosurgeon calls my OPLL incredible and that he has never seen anyone with massive OPLL like mine. Is there anyone in this group that has massive OPLL through their entire spine?

You may want to clarify what OPLL stans for and what it is. I am not familiar with it.

@wezzie67-OPLL (Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligaments) instead of me growing scar tissue to heal, I grow bone that compresses my spinal cord. If the OPLL is compressing my spinal cord I can become a quadriplegic. My Neurosurgeon said I am incomplete paraplegic.
