Can you even get insurance approval for Evenity? Isn't it approved only for women?

Tymlos and Forteo also work very well.

Evenity gave me wonderful results and no side effects that I noticed. Good luck to you. What have you and your doctor discussed for a follow up drug to lock in gains?

One more thing, here is a link to an Evenity (romosozumab) trial for men that shows effectiveness for all sorts of parameters https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/103/9/3183/5040365

I took Eveniiy in 2025 without any side effects (except mild soreness at injection site occasionally- this did not bother me). I got good results with Evenity on the Dexa I did 12/26. I then took Reclast 3/26 with no noticeable side effects.

@njx58 FWIW, more.men now being diagnosed with osteoporosis especially military veterans. I read an article years ago about military veterans having boron deficiencies. Boron is a major player in bone health and even though I've included it in my regimen, my other VI issues with gut malabsorption contribute to being deficient. One big takeaway is that I've figured I have mineral deficits. I've been trying to correct that the best I can. I have seen some improvement. We are also a potassium deficient culture. I've improved the Fosomax induced GERD as a result of increasing certain minerals. My husband and I are of the same mindset. Can we really do no worse than the docs?

@njx58 my husband got approved for Evenity but unfortunately he had compression fractures prior. He ignored an early DEXA scan showing osteopenia ..I didn’t know..and later developed osteoporosis.

@donnabutcher I'm male, age 67, diagnosed at 63. I took Tymlos for nearly two years. My osteoporosis is now osteopenia. Evenity has some potential cardio side effects that I wouldn't want to risk, not that it was mentioned as an option when I started meds. I was fine doing the morning injection of Tymlos, and it worked really well for me. I've also been going to the gym regularly and paying particular attention to back-strengthening exercises.

From osteoporosis to osteopenia in one year of evenity and first year of reclast (once again no side effects) brought hips to normal and lumbar to 0.1. Pausing before second reclast year. Too much going on.
