Perhaps it would be helpful if you could get on some rental boards to find a new, affordable, place to live with someone else who does not present with the issues that your current housemate has. Also, check out resources with your county, township/city, or state to assist you with finding affordable housing.

What state to do you live in? If you are on SSDI most states have programs to help you with living situations, especially if any kind of abuse is present i.e; physical, mental, verbal, etc...

.... sorry to read this.. just wondered if there would be a senior citizen or other person who is looking for someone to be a companion, or maybe very light housework, or give them their medications etc., in exchange for your having your own bedroom and use of the house/laundry etc. I once had a lady of friend ask if she could stay with me and my 2 children for 3 weeks and it ended up 3 months and I put an ad in paper (no computers then) offering her help to an older person in exchange for free room and board and she got a place in a week... so many people living alone in a larger house or apartment with a spare room would be so happy to get some help - of course, have to be very careful these days that it is a reliable/safe environment, and not sure if you are well enough to help someone with day to day things, just a suggestion, good luck! J.

I live with a psycotic woman with no chance of getting my own place. I am 58 and live on ssdi. I cant afford to live on my own and feel like life dosent matter too much anymore. This is not living. It is just torture

@jobycat - Please contact your state or county office of aging, Senior Help Line or similar organization. If you tell them you are living in an unsafe situation, they should be able to direct you to some resources. If you are willing to share your state, or even city, someone here may be able to suggest more specific resources for you.
It is important for you to find another living situation so you can live again!

Thank you for responding. It is virtually impossible for me to reach out. I am isolated from my family and have limited resourses. Just going out of the house has to be for a ligit reason and time is monitered. so...Here I am

Next time you are out, monitored or not, head for the nearest police station or large church (even if you are not a member) for help. You DO NOT have to be a prisoner in someone else's home or apartment.

waking up to an angry person that is supposed to love you is hard. Every conversation ends in anger. I feel like I just want to go to sleep and not wake up. Every day is the same. I can not complain only abide. If I peep i will have no where to live. It makes me wonder if I am too old to live on the street. This is becoming too much
