Left Branch Bundle Block

Posted by @djwalksalone, Jul 22, 2011

I have recently been diagnosed with Left Branch Bundle Block..Came about after a fainting spell…Was told I would possibly need a pacemaker….Cardiologist has changed my meds to try that before having to put the pacemaker…Is there anyone out there with the same problem???

Hi- I have fainted 8 times over the past 16 months. I am currently on my 2nd med. I have an implanted loop recorder and low bp as well as bradycardia (believed to be due to low bp). Still don’t know what’s causing the low bp. We have discussed a pacemaker. Kinda scary since I’m only 35. Good luck.

My BP is high and I am currently on 3 different BP meds…The new meds will be at 3 weeks this next weekend – so far NO CHANGE – so I guess pacemaker it will be…I don’t have energy that I used to have – when an episode comes on I first lose my breath and have pressure on my chest (NO PAIN)…I have been using a rollator walker to ge around out of fear of falling from the fainting…last time I cracked my head open….I am 55 – Good luck to you as well – let me know what you find out – I go back to the Dr on August 1st..

I had a blackout on Friday afternoon, and on Tuesday morning am in St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields waiting for a pacemaker. I too have left branch bundle block. I had a heart attack 9 years ago that went untreated for six months, hence I have Congestive Heart Failure. Five years ago I underwent quadruple by-pass surgery. I hope the surgery goes quickly as I want to get home. I have been told by many that the surgery is quite simple and safe, but always, I worry when someone approaches me with a sharp blade. I’ll be happy to share any and all experiences with anyone. I have been looking for heart support groups in other places I have lived but no luck. I have been in the Chicago area only two weeks.

I have a Pacemaker. I had a very slow heart beat. I feel terrific. Loads of energy now. The doctor could not believe me when I told him I did not pass out, as my heart stopped for long periods of time. I did sleep a lot, but then even as a child I would go to bed early, on my own. I wonder what caused this problem. I do have sleep apena.

I hope you have as much success as I have.
