My 15 year old was just diagnosed with juvenile disk degeneration. Her MRI shows most of the disks in her back are affected. She's extremely active, runs, does Yoga, and is extremely fit. But she's in terrible pain when she sits too long, stands too long, or when she wakes up in the morning. She cannot take anymore Ibuprofen, and Aleve has been the only suggested pain reliever for her. Does anyone know of any new treatments for this? I know there is a study in progress, but participants must be 21 or older.
