Just developed a sore scalp upper left side. No other symptoms.
Last time i had similar symptoms it turned out to be a mild case of shingles (last year). Took 3 doctors but one noticed small lesions near my ear. This time no symptoms so far. Doesnt respond to paracetomol. Im 70 in good health. Not sure if i should do anything, just wait?

I just got over a 3 week bout of sore scalp on my right side that spread down to my ear and lower jaw. I had no other symptoms either. I had to cancel my appointment at the beauty shop for coloring because it hurt so bad. My hair is short and it has to be pulled through a cap. It would bring tears to my eyes just to brush my hair! No one could see anything wrong. I didn’t go to the doctor because my doctor is not the most compassionate person in my book and I didn’t want her to piss me off and make things worse for me by making me feel worse. I don’t know what it could have been except a virus ??? If anyone knows anything I’d appreciate your feedback. I’m also 70 years old actually just turned 70 this month. Ha maybe that’s it- it was my birthday present for being an old fart! Ha
Zoster can recur in the same area as prior eruption.
Since it is painful you could ask your doctor for
a valacyclovir prescription.
