Intracranial hypertension

I’ve been diagnosed with intracranial hypertension since 2020,I have pressure headaches and right sided tinnitus,I’ve been on and off Diamox since then, recently I was diagnosed with a motility disorder with reflux and constipation and also hypertension, was wondering if anybody is in a similar situation and what gave them some relief,I am so afraid that restarting my Diamox now would interact with my bp med and meds for my stomach but that is what my neurologist thinks is best,my headaches are back again, I get numbness and tingling in my arms and legs from it and nausea, appreciate any feedback

I presume that you are on other medications but you haven’t listed them so it’s hard to know where to start. Diamond has a broad range of side effects so you are right to be cautious. You might try speaking with your PCP who can help you to decide your next steps with drug interactions.

Yes,I an on Losartan, and last time the Diamox and Losartan combined made my BP drop so I am monitoring it per me neurologist to cut dose in half if my BP drops.I am also on Prucalopride,Miralax and Omeprazole for my motility disorder,I’m afraid of dehydration/electrolyte imbalance bec these meds all pull fluid from my body but the Diamox is messing with my stomach,I will reach out to my GI doctor to adjust my meds.My PCP does not offer any concrete answers, thank you for letting me vent
