Indigo,
I am a gastroparesis survivor. I lived with the symptoms for 30 years before I was finally correctly diagnosed, and I had many hospital stays. I well understand what you are going through. By the time I was diagnosed with gastroparesis my stomach had virtually quit emptying, and I was fed intravenously for 4months on homecare. Lucily I found out about an experimental surgery for gastroparesis. In 2007 I had a gastric pacemaker implanted in the right side of my chest with leads going to the stomach and attached to the stomach. The pacemaker makes my stomach empty now for me. I am not a diabetic, but I had nerve damage that caused the stomach not to empty. The pacemaker literally saved my life. I can eat normally now and enjoy life a lot more. I have some episodes occasionally but handle them with my nausea medication. This is definitely not a fun disease and I hope all will eventaully be well for you. @indigo7505aolcom
