Improvements in managing CF: What do you celebrate as a victory?
Had a number of tests (bloodwork, etc.) for my annual Cystic Fibrosis visit to Mayo in a week and a half. By the time I got home, I was able to see the results of almost all of the tests. Overall, with a few exceptions, the results looked good. More importantly, I realized that it's been well over a year since I've been hospitalized with an infection or serious exacerbation. That's a victory in my books! After years in which I was hospitalized or treated remotely for a serious lung infection every few months, a year without a crisis is a real blessing.
I'm curious how others gauge success. What do you celebrate as a victory?

@ckscoville, what a wonderful message to read this morning. I'm tagging fellow CF members like @lindam272 @tinaesims @sun9shine @helen1000 @blashatw @lostinkc @biglake @tw508 @gina1645 and others to celebrate with you. More than a year without hospitalization with an infection or serious exacerbation is a something to take note of as a victory for sure.
Like you, I'd be interested to hear how others mark milestones, gauge success and celebrate victories while managing CF.
I celebrate every day on this earth! Waking up is a blessing each day and I'm grateful. Unfortunately, it's been one of, if not the worst year for health in my life, so it's important to me that I thank God for every small victory. @lindam272
@lindam272 I am sorry you've had some health challenges thus past year, but I join you in being grateful that I am still waking up each day! Have your own challenges revolved around your lung health or something else?
The first half of the year was my lungs. I went into the hospital the end of June for IV antibiotics. One week after being discharged, I had a bowel obstruction and have had issues with that for almost 2 months now.
