I'm not getting answers from other sites, so I'm hoping I can get some advice here. I hope I'm in the right place.

About two weeks ago, I became constipated due to stress/anxiety. After a few days of not being able to go, I took two stool softeners for three days (which didn't work.) So after those three days, I took a stimulant laxative, which (finally!) worked.

The day after the laxative worked, I starting having trouble passing stool. I can only go if I REALLY need to. If I try to pass stool after I felt I had to go, nothing happens.

For the past two days, if I do poop, it's semi-diarrhea that's blackish-green/yellow colored. So, in other words, I'm having trouble pooping something that should easily pass.

When I pass these stools, there's only moderate pain (anus area, but no abdominal pain.) And I feel slight pressure in my lower back if I try to strain (which I won't be doing anymore.)

Note: I've changed my diet a little since I've been constipated by adding more fiber & drinking more water. I drank cran-cherry juice last night, & I hope that may explain the color of my stool. I'm just really worried about the color & consistency of the stool.

(Also, I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, so I'm freaking out & thinking the worst right now. I'm probably going to see a doctor soon.)

KK, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing. Here is a link to the GI department at Mayo Clinic that may be helpful:
