I have MS and urinary urgency issues. I have done medication Botox PTNS and now they are recommending inter stem, looking to connect with anyone that has had this done and their thoughts on it.

I am due to have this procedure done August 3. I have been thinking about it for 5 years and finally after talking to a lady that had it done I decided to go for it to improve my quality of life. The specialists that do he procedure can put you in touch with someone who has had it implanted and there is a Medtronic nurse that follows you through the process and acts as support during and after procedure.

Did you get any positive results from the Botox injections? My doc has suggested botox for my urinary frequency.

I had the week long test for this procedure. It worked very well and even helped with fecal incontinence. The only issue I had was that the area near my tailbone ached. I originally thought it was just from the procedure, but when the wires were disconnected I still had the aching for several days. I have been putting off the implantation until someone can tell me whether or not this ache would be a constant thing or if the electrodes could be placed differently to prevent this from occurring. Does anyone have any info about this?
