Idiopathic puritis
Total body itching. As with others it is much worse at bedtime. Use moisturizing and anti-itch creams, anti-histamines that usually provide some relief. I have been on Nemluvio for about 6 months, but it doesn’t seem to last between monthly injections. Just started Rhapsido, but no noticeable improvement.
Has anyone tried either one and have they worked for you?
Thanks.

I’m going to jump in here, maybe this is an unwanted comment. But I had just read an article about whole body itching caused by the movement of fine body hair. In some people, when the fine hairs that cover the body are touched or moved it causes an itching response, a hyper-sensitivity. This would explain the bedtime increase in itching (of course there are other issues like body temperature and/or environment temp changes at night).
One solution to the body hair movement is to change to "Second-Skin" fabrics: Avoid loose, airy clothing that constantly brushes back and forth against your body hair as you move. Instead, wear form-fitting (but not highly restrictive) undergarments made of exceptionally smooth, friction-free fabrics like silk, bamboo, or high-quality modal.
And I apologize for going off topic of the question you asked about medication use.

1 ReactionHave you changed anything that you were using on your skin? Even check products you’ve used it for years if they say new and improved on the bottle. A lot of times they change things that may cause your issues. Have you changed any medications? Or vitamin vitamins. This time of year ago, I had hives so bad and itching so bad and it took nine months to figure it out. It was a vitamin it had an ingredient in. I was sensitive.
I would say laundry soap if you use fabric softener, facials, products, hair products, and so on that could be causing a sensitivity
I don’t know your age, but as we age, we have very fine hairs on our skin and you will notice this mostly on your face around the mouth. You could buy a small electric shaver to remove these hairs to see if that helps. The doctor called these hair, menopause fuzz
Here are two things that you could look into. Wish you the best
Total body itch is a complex problem.
Have you had a thorough history and laboratory testing.
Any biopsies, diet and medication elimination seeking the cause?
I have had success with hair removal and tight fitting clothes at bedtime.
Thank you.

1 ReactionI have not tried the medications you have listed…but, I have a similar condition, Aquagenic Pruritus, and itch due to change in temperature. It feels like a neuropathy itch. The only thing that kills the itch is an amino acid called Beta Alanine…I buy the NOW brand on Amazon, it’s cheap. I take 750 mg if itch starts…and 1500 mg 30 min before showering. For some reason, showering late in the day works best…
Beta Alanine is typically used as a preworkout supplement, at higher doses and can cause tingling on the skin if you take too much…
I started Rhapsido for Mast Cell and it’s been a miracle drug.I turns out Multiple Sclerosis is also a histamine dysregulation disorder and it’s reduced those symptoms.
I hope you find something that works for you soon. ❤️
Is this the same thing as Notalgia Paresthetica?
Not sure, but I don't think so.
