I was diagnosed with some type of Gastroparesis last year after a four hour stomach emptying test. I am not diabetic and the cause is unknown. The gastroenterologists that I have consulted thus far also disagree on an exact diagnosis . The diet recommended has been low fiber. Now I have been put on a diet with no fruits and no vegetables which is extreme. I can eat under the fruit heading only bananas and beets for vegetable. I am eating fish, rice mostly. Puff cereals are Allowed. I am taking nutritional supplements and under doctor supervision. I can eat eggs, white toast . I eat no beef, very little chicken and pasta. I can eat instant oatmeal for breakfast and the organic I like better than Quaker. Try the brown sugar and maple syrup. Absolutely no nuts, fresh greens. No caffeine, no alcohol. I have adapted to this diet more easily than you might think . AFter hurting so badly when foods simply were not digesting, I think I can live with this! Not great but better than so many people who deal with other colon problems! I do drink lactose free milk..low fat. @bellbelinda3
